The MSSM Chess Championship 2006 concluded yesterday with Selangor emerging as overall champion by a hair's breadth.
This year's event proved to be the most interesting from the competitive perspective since chess was reinstated into the MSSM calendar three years ago. While the last two editions were dominated by Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, this year's event saw hosts, Terengganu, Johor and Penang all competing very strongly.
I had just got back from Kuala Terengganu early this morning and still recovering from the overnight journey. I shall work on the detailed medal winners list after I am properly rested.
