Brunei Open - Round 2 Pairings

After his upset win over GM Richard Bitoon in Round 1, Yit Ho is rewarded with a game against teenage IM Jakhongir Vakhidov in Round 2. Mas and Li Tian have interesting match-ups against GM Dao Thien Hai and strong IM Oliver Dimakiling respectively, while Zaidan is paired with Filipino IM Steven Yap Kim.

Benjamin is paired with 2028-rated veteran Brunei player, Yap Choow Tun, while Yit San, William and Dilwen have games against unrated Brunei players.

I am looking forward to more upsets by the Malaysian boys. Round 2 is scheduled to start at 3.00 pm.

    2. Well I meant the first junior. But anyway I was also mistaken in this respect. Sumant is the first junior of this generation to beat a GM. He also beat GM Barbosa at SEA Games last year.
