Malaysia at Tromso: That's 3 in a Row and Upwards to No. 65

Malaysia's Men's Team scored a third big win in-a-row with a 4-0 win over Nigeria yesterday. Malaysia is at No. 65 in the interim rankings after Round 7 with 4 more rounds to go.

Due to the unexpectedly low number of draws in the higher pairings, Malaysia jumped 27 rungs from No.92 after 6 rounds to No. 65 with the big 4-0 win. The big margin wins are significant as they give Malaysia a higher tie-break score which leads to higher rankings.

Yee Weng had a straight-forward win after his Nigerian opponent exposed his own king.
